a month agoHadn’t been to the Moda Center previously, but went to see a Jo Koy performance there last month and it’s a really nice arena. Was really impressed how modern and clean it was! My only issue was sitting in the floor seats section and they put out the foldable chairs and set them up so close to each other - if the person next to you is large, their body will be pushing against you the whole night - and that’s what happened to us, on both sides! other than that, had a good experience watching the show and enjoying my popcorn, candy, and drinks!

3 months agoI’ve been to Moda probably a dozen times over the years and this was the best visit I’ve had. My wife and I attended the Sigur Ros concert so I am open ti the idea that the crowd heavily influenced my experience (not a lot of rapscallions attending Sigur Ros). We arrived about 30 min late early using an Uber, the drop off was easy enough, traffic was there but moving. I am certain with a larger crowd (during basketball games and larger concerts, that the traffic is pretty heinous as I would probably elect to park and ride trimet to the arena. The hall around the arena could probably benefit from being bigger, the foot traffic was pretty thick for such a small event. Getting to our seats was straightforward, the lower bowl had very shallow steps which led easy seating but an easily obstructed view as the stadium seating was also shallow. The acoustics were better than I’ve heard there before with the same band, good enough for an arena drink and food selection, their whiskey sour was way better than I expected. We left the arena the same way we came with an easy pickup from uber in a rideshare pickup area which was very dark. Some security lighting would be good just for an hour after events even. Light pollution is something I want to consider of course. Good visit, still prefer just about anywhere else in town or surrounding for a concert.

4 months agoVisited Moda Center in Portland, Oregon to see Stevie Nicks in concert on October 1st, 2025 with my daughter and her best friend. It's an amazing place! Got the prepaid parking online for the Garden Garage which is attached to Moda Center. Had to go down to the 1st level of parking garage in the elevator and ask where we entered the Main gates, which was the North Entrance and had to go outside to get in line to enter. ADA admitted folks and premier booths get to stay inside and enter without going outside on the P3 level for ADA and P2 level for premier booths. It wasn't a long wait to get in, (glad it wasn't raining!) you can bring a small, foldable personal umbrella with you if needed but have to have your bags searched and go through the metal detectors! We only waited about 15 minutes. Once, inside, there's different floor levels with different kinds of food and beverages, merchandise for the concert, also public restrooms and water fountains. Got our food and drinks and found our seats by asking directions of the staff near the section entrances. Section C317, Row H, Seats 1, 2 & 3 were way high up, but had a pretty good view of the stage! Only thing is they need is a few more cup holders for drinks ,(had 3 seats together but only 2 cup holders on the arm rests in our area), and a flip down shelf in front of you on the back of the seats to put food on! We just used our laps! You can put your bag, food, drinks, under your seat or just hold them. Had a great time there seeing our all time favorite, Stevie Nicks! Just be patient with the traffic, as it's incredibly busy for everyone to get home safe!

2 months agoWent here for a concert with one of my daughter's. My daughter got so excited and was jumping around so much the people behind us complained and asked to see if we could be moved. The staff offered us much better seats and brought my daughter some snacks. The new people around us encouraged my daughter to dance and jump around as well. The staff turn what could have been a negative experience into a core memory for my daughter.

3 months agoTook my brother to the Balzers game and had a blast. The employees there are very patient and make you feel safe. I didnt know i had a fork in my purse so i told them to just throw it out, pretty sure i looked crazy but yk. The people at the consessions were very friendly and made it very easy to navigate.
